Results – Protective Covenants Vote

In May 2016, owners of property in Sage Port Filings 2 and 6A were mailed ballots and were asked to vote on a proposed change to the Protective Covenants.  On June 13, 2016, the Teller Committee appointed by the Board of Directors of the SPHOA met in public meeting and opened and counted the ballots. Of the 56 ballots submitted and counted, 32 were FOR the proposal and 24 were AGAINST. The proposal failed due to less than a majority plus one (119) of lot owners voting in favor. A signed letter from the Teller Committee documenting the ballot count is available here. Thank you to those who volunteered on the Teller Committee.

Vote to Change Protective Covenants

Ballots for the vote on the proposed change to the Protective Covenants have been mailed to all property owners in Sage Port 2 and 6A. The Sage Port HOA is facilitating the community vote. The Protective Covenants apply to all lot owners in Sage Port 2 and 6A, regardless of HOA membership status. The vote is about the Protective Covenants. The vote is not about the HOA. Don’t be confused if someone tries to convince you otherwise. Exercise your property right and vote. Return your ballot by mail by June 13, 2016.

Got Junk Mail? – UPDATE

On multiple occasions, most recently in May 2016, a local resident, Wilfred Magnan, has mailed postcards to some, but not all, Sage Port homeowners making claims and accusations that are harmful, misleading and complete falsehoods.

Mr. Magnan claims to have been appointed to the Sage Port Architectural Control Committee (ACC) in 2007. However, Mr. Magnan failed to mention that the two individuals (Cliff Wallace and W.M. “Sandy” Sanders) who supposedly made his appointment resigned from the Sage Port ACC in 1987, twenty years earlier. Documentation of the 1987 ACC membership changes are provided below.

1987 HOA minutes documenting Cliff Wallace’s replacement on the ACC
1987 HOA minutes documenting Sandy Sanders’ resignation from the ACC
Sanders’ 1987 resignation letter

Those who made the supposed appointments in 2007 had no authority to do so. Mr. Magnan is not, and has never been, Chairman of the Sage Port ACC.

The valid members of the Sage Port ACC are available on the SPHOA website at the following link.  The Sage Port ACC can be reached by calling (303) 991-6688, or completing the ACC contact form available on the SPHOA website.
